Ghana: Minister For Transport Inaugurates Task Force For Establishment Of Ghana’s National Airline

Ghana Minister for Transport, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe has inaugurated a 10-member Task Force, established by H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, the President of the Republic of Ghana, to oversee the creation of a National Airline for Ghana.

At a brief inaugural ceremony held at the Ghana civil Aviation Authority, Hon Bukari charged the Task Force with driving the process to fulfill the President’s vision of re-establishing a National Carrier for the Country.

The Task Force, chaired by Charles Asare, brings together key industry stakeholders with the expertise needed to guide the initiative. Other Members of the Committee are Twumasi-Ankra Selby [Vice Chairman], Madam Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Rev. Stephen Wilfred Arthur, Yvonne Opare, Ellis Hugh-Tamakloe, Benjamin Ahlijah, Patience Bonsu, Daniel Acquah and Eric Tetteh-Addison.

The inauguration of the Task Force marks a significant step toward strengthening Ghana’s Aviation industry and positioning the country as preferred hub in the West African Region.
