As the election for the next Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization , now rebranded as 'UN Tourism', approaches, the African Travel Commission is taking a firm stand: no candidate will receive Africa’s backing à la carte.

Hôtel 2 Février, a towering icon in Togo’s hospitality industry, has been nominated in three prestigious categories at the upcoming World Travel Awards 2025. The luxurious five-star hotel, situated in the heart of Lomé, is in the running for Africa’s Leading Hotel 2025, Africa’s Leading Hotel Residences 2025, and Togo’s Leading Hotel 2025.

Mozambique will host the Africa Diplomatic Tourism and Investment Forum 2025, a continent-wide event set to take place from 20 to 22 August 2025 at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre in Maputo.

For the first time, Yantai will host the premier Summit of the international enotourism industry to demonstrate to the world, the charm of Yantai’s terroir  and gastronomy blended with the beauty of its natural heritage of mountains and valleys down to the “Yantai wonderland seacoast”.

The second edition of Ibadan Travel & Tourism Expo, a programme for marketing Oyo State as a destination in Nigeria, holds from Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th of April.
