In furtherance of its collaborative effort to sanitise and ensure international best practice in the hotel industry, the Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria , Standard Organisation of Nigeria have met with the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture to streamline a seamless working relationship within the ambit of the law to launch a national hotel grading and classification exercise with Lagos as the pilot lead.

An Uyo High Court has issued an Order freezing the bank accounts of Ibom Icon Hotel for failure to comply with the Court’s Judgement Order earlier issued by a court of competent jurisdiction in August, 2021.

In this interview with Lucky Onoriode George, Publisher, African Travel Times Magazine, he bares his mind on the challenges that people like him have to contend with day-to –day running of a hotel, especially with all the crisis occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. I usually do not like to comment on matters that have to do with Ibom Hotel since handing over the hotel on 2nd October 2020 to the new management. I have not even stepped my feet in that hotel since moving out of that place. But for this damaging and uncharitable allegation made by Mr Udeme Ufot which touched the management of which I was part off and the need to put the records straight. I have shared my comments.
