Ghanaian Security Arrested Over 300 Nigerian Yahoo Boys Since Last Friday
No fewer than 300 Nigerians have been arrested by Ghanaian Security Operatives in the last three days in different parts of the Capital.
The operations according to www.africantraveltimes.com reporter in Accra was because of what the government considered an intolerable and unacceptable high level of criminality of not just cyber offences alone, but other issues that have been traced to them.
So far, many of the arrested Nigerians face prosecution as well as deportation if they were not bailed or settled according to our sources.
Meanwhile, a Nigerian Community Leader who pleaded anonymity however criticized the Ghana Security Operatives, especially the police for always embarking on this type of arrest for mostly financial benefits.
This source admitted though that the activities of this group of Nigerians have not only over time embarrassed genuine Nigerians, but the country at large.
So far, over 100 of them have been released through the intervention of some other Nigerians who have contacts within the security community in Ghana.
In the last few years, many Nigerians have settled in Kasoa, a suburb of Accra that has also become so notorious for criminality, prostitution, and other nefarious activities.
