South Africa: Ethiopian Airlines Touches Down In Cape Town
Africa’s largest airline, Ethiopian Airlines has landed in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Airline’s B777-300 was among the few airlines to have resumed regular passenger service to the mother city following the official easing of travel restrictions by the Government of South Africa.
The airline will start with 3 times [weekly] flights for October and gradually work towards 5 times a week in November.
The Area Manager of Ethiopian Airlines in Cape Town Mekdes Abera said “We are starting with 3 flights for October and increase our frequency to 5 starting from November. Today we are the first international airline to depart from CPT airport”
She added that Ethiopian Airlines was actively engaged in repatriation and cargo flights once every week during the lockdown and exciting to welcome back regular passengers to Cape Town.
